Fire damages Florida dealership

While the cause of the fire is still unknown, ABC Action News reports that no one was hurt in the early morning fire in Cycle Springs Powersports in Clearwater, Fla. According to the article, no one was inside the building when the fire department arrived to put out the flames and an investigation is underway to determine what started the fire.

While the showroom suffered minimal smoke damage, the fire is believed to have started in the storage facility, which “was in bad shape.”

Assistant Clearwater Fire Marshall Ron Neuberger said the repair shop had materials like gas and oil inside, which made putting out the fire difficult. “With all of the fiberglass and plastics from the boats and water skis, as well as everything else inside there, it creates a challenge because of the material it’s burning.”
