Consumer sales of Polaris airless tires could begin soon

A Polaris official told FoxNews.com this week that consumer sales of the company’s non-pneumatic tires could begin within six months.

The Minnesota-based OEM has already started production of its flat-proof TerrainArmor tires for the MV850 ATV, which was designed for use by the U.S. military and allied forces. In fact, deliveries of units equipped with the airless tires are now going to the U.S. Special Operations Forces.

Polaris is now working on TerrainArmor tires for more of its models, including its side-by-sides.
