Harley dealership in Indiana closes

Eagle Harley-Davidson of Lafayette, Ind., closed Saturday, according to the dealership’s Facebook page.

The post, signed by “Kathe,” read in part:

“Well it’s official as of Saturday September 21st Eagle Harley-Davidson has closed . After 32 yrs of smiling faces (some grouches included) I will not be unlocking the door for business as usual. It has been my pleasure taking care of your Harley wants and needs. I hope I will see many of you out riding, at Charity events and at the Harley shops. This is going to be an adjustment not going to work, my retired friends tell me I will love it. We’ll see about that. May your week be great and always be thankful you have a job.”

  1. VERY SAD TO SEE ANY CYCLE SHOP CLOSING, BUT WITH DISPOSABLE INCOME GOING AWAY, AND THE MANY OTHER THINGS TO SPEND ON FOR ENJOYMENT, THIS MAY BE A TREND IN THE INDUSTRY, HOPEFULLY NOT. BUT LOOKING FORWARD I DO NOT SEE A PLUS FOR THE INDUSTRY OTHER THAN SERVICE.
