Husqvarna brand to be reborn using Husaberg technology

Husaberg announced Thursday that new Husqvarna models, featuring Husqvarna heritage and Husaberg technology, will be unveiled in early October in Sweden.

Husqvarna was acquired earlier this year by Pierer Industries AG, a company owned by KTM CEO Stefan Pierer. After a careful analysis of Husqvarna, the company decided to reunite the Husqvarna brand with Husaberg. The new Husqvarna bikes are already in the works, a new exclusive design and the latest technology. Husqvarna will be a player in the Supermoto, Enduro, motocross and sport mini cycle segments.

The new group company, Husqvarna Sportmotorcycle GmbH, will be fully operational in October. The company will be based in Mattighofen, Austria, with parts supply and customer service for all models up to and including 2013 units remaining in Biandronno, Italy.
