Former dealer principal dies

Ralph Schneidewind, former principal of Doc’s Harley-Davidson in Kirkwood, Mo., died last week.

Schneidewind took over the dealership after his father and dealership founder Ralph “Doc” Schneidewind died. Ralph Schneidewind held that position until 1998, when he suffered a brain aneurism that forced him out of work.

The dealership was closed Monday for his funeral.

“He played an enormous part of the legacy of Doc’s Harley-Davidson and will be greatly missed,” the dealership’s website said.

Schneidewind’s sister Patty Bush is currently principal of the dealership.
