Former Bobcat exec named CEO of Curtis Industries

Scott Nelson, a former executive in the construction equipment industry, has been appointed the CEO and president of Curtis Industries, LLC effective immediately.

Nelson succeeds John Rachwalski, who is retiring but will remain on the Board of Directors and will serve as a consultant to the company.

Nelson has 26 years of experience in the construction equipment industry, most recently serving as the president EMEA for Doosan Intracore Construction Equipment. He was previously CEO of Doosan Infracore International, which included Bobcat Company, Ingersoll Rang Portable Power and the Attachments Business unit sold by Ingersoll Rand in 2007. Nelson led the sale and integration of these businesses into Doosan, one of the largest construction equipment manufacturers in the world. Before joining Doosan, he held a variety of leadership positions, including president Americas and VP sales and marketing, at Bobcat Company.

“We are excited to have a professional with Scott’s experience join Curtis Industries,” Rachwalski said.  “He is a highly talented senior leader with an impressive record of success that covers a wide range of industries and countries.” He added, “Scott will be a tremendous asset as Curtis Industries continues to grow and expand.”
