Auction items at MIC’s Saturday breakfast listed

The Right Rider Access Fund Give to Ride breakfast and auction is set for 8 a.m. Saturday in the Wabash Room at the Indianapolis Convention Center. The event is open to any Dealer Expo attendee, however, space is limited to 250. The doors open at 7:30 a.m. for the free breakfast and an opportunity to view the items up for auction. The latter includes unique memorabilia, motorcycling experiences and other valuable items contributed by Motorcycle Industry Council members.

“The goal of the Right Rider breakfast and auction is to challenge everyone to ‘Give to Ride,'” MIC president and CEO Tim Buche said. “Because RRAF will administer all funds raised at the Give to Ride Auction, donors can be assured that 100 percent of their contributions will support access initiatives. We also hope this event will help encourage attendees to give of their time to maintain trails and to pursue new trail opportunities when they return home.”

The free breakfast will include interviews with racing legends, such as Malcolm Smith, Scot Harden, Mark Blackwell, Bill Balance, Chuck Sun, Jonah Street, Daytona 200 Champion Don Emde, Kevin Schwantz and more. The event will be emceed by MIC Board Director Eric Anderson and MIC member Tom White.

Some of the items slated for the MIC auction block include a four-day Montana Adventure for two at Bull Run Guest Ranch with lodging, food and an $800 airline voucher, courtesy of ranch owner Russ Ehnes; a Schwantz School at your choice of Road Atlanta or Indianapolis Motor Speedway, from American Suzuki Motor Corp.; a Raines’ Riding University experience at your choice of location, thanks to Yamaha; a vintage Yamaha DT1, donated by Tom White; four sets of black-and-white posters of the great Malcolm Smith on the gas as well as a Grateful Dead River Road leather jacket, all from Tucker-Rocky; Team Honda autographed number plates and side panels; an Arai helmet signed by numerous Champions for Malcolm Smith at a past Breakfast of Champions event; 50 limited-edition, commemorative “MX Cat” T-shirts that are ideal for collecting autographs on-site, donated by Cycle News; and a variety of autographed supercross jerseys. You must be present to bid.
