Auto dealer wins Harley-Davidson in NADA Convention charity auction
Massachusetts new-car dealer Barry Lundgren placed the winning bid of $18,750 on a 2010 Harley-Davidson Softail Deluxe FLSTN during a live ADESA auction at the NADA Convention.
The money raised at the auction was given to the NADA Foundation, which donated the funds to the wounded Veterans Initiative of Canine Companions for Independence. The proceeds will go to the training of two service dogs.
Lundgren bought the bike, donated by ADESA, to add to his motorcycle collection, which includes a 1994 Harley-Davidson Softail Nostalgia and a 1969 BMW R69S. The auction was held on Sunday, Feb. 5, in the ADESA booth just prior to the Super Bowl. Lundgren and his brother Patrick own and operate Lundgren Honda of Auburn and Lundgren Honda of Greenfield in Massachusetts, businesses in their family since 1964.
