Canada’s Keast to race YZ450F in 2012

Kyle Keast is stepping aboard the YZ450F as he aims for Canadian MX1 supremacy. Keast, a fan favorite in Canadian motocross, will be riding for the Yamaha Machine Racing team in a bid to make it five No. 1 plates in a row for the YZ450F.

“The last couple of years, I’ve had to juggle racing with my work responsibilities. In order to get to the next level, I needed to concentrate solely on motocross,” Keast said. “Yamaha and Machine Racing have stepped up in a big way to give me that support.”

“We’ve wanted to get Kyle on blue for quite awhile, so I’m glad it’s finally worked out,” Yamaha race director Bryan Hudgin said. “Not only is Kyle a title contender, but he’s a good role model for younger riders and loves being at the track every Sunday — whether it’s a regional race or a national. He’ll fit right in to the Yamaha family and be a great ambassador for our brand.”
