Analyst brings back rave reviews from Wildcat ride

Feltl and Company analyst Mark E. Smith took his first ride on the Arctic Cat Wildcat 1000 side-by-side over the weekend in Manitoba, and the vehicle came away with rave reviews.

“The Wildcat met our high expectations,” Smith writes in a research note provided to Powersports Business. “We were impressed by the speed, handling, suspension and aesthetics of this new recreational side-by-side and think this product will compete well with the RZR XP 900 from Polaris … and the Commander 1000 from Can-Am. The rapidly growing recreational side-by-side market is an attractive opportunity, in our view, and we think the Wildcat places [Arctic Cat] in the top tier of manufacturers in the space.”

Smith goes on to write that Arctic Cat’s “initial production is for less than 300 vehicles with the first vehicles being delivered to dealers in December and the remainder delivered by February.”

In addition, Smith reports that dealers have had to sign up for 10 or more vehicles as well as take on additional accessories to get delivery of the initial run of vehicles. Also, Smith writes that Arctic Cat has more than 35 accessories coming to market exclusively for the Wildcat.
