Survey: Polaris trends held in Q3

Polaris Industries sustained its strong retail momentum in the third quarter, according to a research note published today on a dealer survey conducted by RBC Capital Markets and Powersports Business.

RBC Capital Markets analyst Edward Aaron reports that “measures of dealer sentiment and retail activity appear to be similar to last quarter. Dealers maintain a cautious view of the business environment, but dealer feedback is indicative of solid, consistent demand trends for Polaris products. Inventories are still on the low side, but appear to be coming into balance.”

Aaron also writes that Polaris, which will release its third quarter earnings next week, likely “sustained North America retail growth in the teens in Q3” and that “competition in side-by-sides is increasing at slower rate than we expected.”

The report also says that the RZR 570 is expected to begin shipping this month.
