OEM supplier gets name change

DS Manufacturing, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lincoln Industries, located in Pine Island, Minnesota, announced it will operate under the name of Lincoln Industries effective immediately.

The name change marks a continued strengthening of Lincoln Industries’ position as the nation’s leading supplier of exhaust tubes in the U.S. after acquiring DS Manufacturing two years ago, the company said.

“When Lincoln Industries acquired DS Mfg. two years ago, we were excited about how the people of DS would impact our success,” said Lincoln Industries CEO and chairman Marc LeBaron. “The acquisition allowed us to leverage DS Mfg.’s capabilities in small diameter tube fabrication and further strengthened Lincoln Industries. As a growth-oriented company, we are looking forward to expanding our capabilities and our workforce at Pine Island. Since the acquisition, we have increased our workforce by more than 30 people.”

For more than 65 years, Lincoln Industries has been nationally recognized as a major provider of manufacturing, fabrication and metal finishing services.

“Changing the name of DS Mfg.to Lincoln Industries will allow us to present a unified company image and unambiguous brand identity to our customers, vendors and most importantly our people,” LeBaron said.

Aftermarket motorcycle accessories company Khrome Werks is part of the business. Lincoln Industries is also a major Tier 1 supplier to companies such as Harley-Davidson and Polaris, supplying a variety of finished stamped, machined, forged, cast and tube parts to the industry.
