“I am excited to put my many years of industry experience to work leading our new team,” said Powers. “Our company is in its early stages, but we have laid out a plan for steady and sustainable growth, focused on bringing quality motorsports products to the market that families can afford.”

With 20 years of experience, Powers has held leadership positions in field sales management, product marketing and product line management. In Yamaha’s snow division, he was assistant snowmobile manager, snowmobile marketing manager and then regional business manager for the Motor Corp. In 2010, he was named snowmobile product manager by Yamaha.

“The potential that Rival Motorsports has to be a strong player in the motorsports market is what attracted me to the opportunity,” said Powers. “When we started Rival, we committed to using our industry experience to build this company from the ground up … the right way.”

Powers laid out a series of five objectives for his team as they build the company.

“First, Rival Motorsports will build quality products without compromising price,” he said. “Second, we will know and serve the youth market better than any other motorsports brand. Third, we will develop an aggressive product plan that takes advantage of our manufacturing strengths. Fourth, we will build a nationwide field staff and motorsports dealer network. Fifth, and most importantly, Rival Motorsports will build the best parts system in the industry.”
