Aegis Powersports partners with charity

Aegis Powersports announced that it has incorporated the Colorado-based Motorcycle Relief Project (MRP) into its new fall off-road promotion. With MRP joining the campaign, a portion of the proceeds generated by the promotion will be used to allow more veterans to participate in one of MRP’s off-road motorcycle adventure tours. These relief rides provide veterans coping with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) opportunities to decompress, connect with other veterans and learn new skills for coping with their injuries in a safe, respectable and fun environment.

Aegis Powersports recently announced its new off-road campaign dubbed “play dirty” that urges riders to protect their off-road units with F&I products that allow them to spend more time in the dirt enjoying their rides. The campaign is timed to support the seasonal efforts of Aegis’ dealer partners who promote off-road vehicles in the fall. Working together, Aegis Powersports and the Motorcycle Relief Project will now be able to provide more off-road tours to more veterans and add new riding venues.

“We are proud to support the efforts of the Motorcycle Relief Project,” stated Brian Weaver, vice president of sales at Aegis Powersports and a military veteran himself. “Powersports have helped shape the lives of many of our team members at Aegis Powersports, not only professionally, but through family involvement in dealerships, industry groups, races, record-setting rides and even one marriage that involved personal watercraft. We are honored to be associated with the great team at the Motorcycle Relief Project who are using the healing powers of motorcycle rides to help our military veterans.”

“Aegis Powersports is comprised of an experienced team of people who truly are passionate about powersports,” noted Tom Larson, executive director of the Motorcycle Relief Project. “We are pleased to be working with Aegis and appreciate their dedication to supporting both powersports and our military veterans.”
