Orlando expected to draw exhibitors, dealers and customers to AIME

For months, the American International Motorcycle Expo searched for a home, and now it’s finally found one in Orlando, Fla.

“We looked at a lot of different places, from the West to the East, from the Midwest to the South, everywhere,” Larry Little, vice president and general manager of the Motorcycle Group of Marketplace Events, told Powersports Business.

The group landed on Orlando for its inaugural event because it found the area ideal for drawing OEMs, aftermarket companies, service providers, dealers and consumers from nearby cities and afar. AIME signed a three-year agreement with the Orange County Convention Center.

“We really wanted to make sure that we got it right,” Little said.

The event will start with a trade show Wednesday, Oct. 16 and Thursday, Oct. 17, and conclude with a consumer show Friday, Oct. 18 through Sunday. What drew AIME to Orlando was the favorable weather, the available space at the convention center, the entertainment available in the area and the value the area provides to visitors.

“I think Orlando, with all of its things that it has in the area, from entertainment and all that, is a good place to be,” Little said.
