Fundraising efforts begin for San Diego dealership GM Lima

Fundraising efforts have begun for the family of Paul Lima, who built GP Motorcycles/Ducati of San Diego for the past two decades into the remarkable shop that it has become today.

On April 4, Lima suffered a tragic accident on a motocross track and fractured bones in his lower back. As a result, he is now paralyzed in both legs. He is recovering from a nine-hour surgery to realign and stabilize his back, and is now undergoing therapy and training at a rehabilitation center to get adjusted to his new life.

Lima, whose all-European dealership also sells Husqvarna, KTM, Moto Guzzi, Norton, MV Agusta and Aprilia, is known for introducing people to the motorcycle lifestyle, sharing the experience and creating new enthusiasts.

The fundraising opportunities targeted to Lima and his wife and two children can be found at www.limafamilyrecoveryfund.com. Visitors to the site can donate via PayPal, or by sending a check to: The Lima Family Recovery Fund, c/o First California Bank, P.O. Box 1387, Escondido, CA 92033.
