GEICO serves as a lead sponsor at Sturgis
GEICO is serving as the lead sponsor for the 71st Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, being held through Aug. 13 in Sturgis, S.D.
“Sturgis is one the largest and most well-known motorcycle events in the world,” GEICO vice president Ted Ward said. “2011 marks the seventh year we have been participating, and we are excited to serve as a lead sponsor. It gives us ample opportunity to build GEICO brand awareness and promote our family of products to very special customers.”
GEICO has activities and events at two locations in Sturgis. On Main Street, there is a “Meet and Greet Gecko” and a roaming Gecko for the fans, along with many giveaways. At the Buffalo Chip’s location, the No. 13 GEICO Toyota Camry from NASCAR will be on display.
Participants can also see the custom-built Gecko bike created by Paul Teutul Jr. of Discovery Channel’s “American Choppers,” as well as have a chance to win the Buffalo Chip Victory bike sponsored by GEICO.
