Polaris official to lead aftermarket manufacturer

A longtime Polaris Industries official has joined ATV and UTV parts and accessory manufacturer Kolpin Outdoors.

Mike Stone was named the executive vice president of Kolpin recently after spending the past 12 years with Polaris, according to a Kolpin press release.

Stone will direct the company’s day-to-day operations and be responsible for overseeing and spearheading Kolpin’s product strategy, product development, sourcing and OEM sales activities. The latter is one of several areas of opportunity for the Wisconsin-based aftermarket manufacturer, Stone told Powersports Business.

“It is a goal of Kolpin to try to get a bigger presence in that OEM powersports segment,” Stone said. “The (Kolpin) gun boot has always been a real big seller and the chainsaw press fits into those channels really well.”
