Harley-Davidson offers extension on warranty

Harley-Davidson is offering extended warranty coverage on new, previously untitled 2009 and 2010 model year Harley-Davidson motorcycles purchased and delivered until March 16.
The offer extends coverage through April 2, 2012, and allows customers to gain additional time and benefits of the warranty.
Additionally, effective through Feb. 28, customers who purchased a vehicle that is still under factory warranty through Feb. 28 are now eligible to have street-legal parts and accessories installed at their selling dealer and added to their 2-year factory vehicle warranty as an extension of the program.

Erik Buell starts motorcycle race shop
After Harley-Davidson shut down Buell Motorcycle Co., Erik Buell established an independent motorcycle race shop, Erik Buell Racing, according to The Business Journal of Milwaukee.
The new company will specialize in the supply of race use-only Buell motorcycle parts and race preparation services for engines and motorcycles, and the manufacturing and sale of Buell 1125R-based race use-only motorcycles under license from Harley-Davidson, as well as providing technical support to racers of Buell motorcycles.
“I’m looking forward to helping Buell racers keep their bikes flying,” Buell told the The Business Journal.

Cycle Trader iPhone app allows inventory search
Powersports enthusiasts can now search
CycleTrader.com’s inventory of more than 140,000 vehicles from their iPhone by using the Cycle Trader iPhone application, according to a company press release.
“We’re ecstatic to offer our tech-savvy customers easy access to CycleTrader.com from anywhere at any time with technology that suits their on-the-go lifestyle,” Gwyn Price, vice president of Cycle Trader, said in the release.

Lehman Trikes becomes ISO certified
Lehman Trikes has received its ISO 9001:2008 certification, which is a series of standards that are accepted internationally and provide a consistent foundation for product and service quality, according to a press release from Lehman.
“While we have always strived to deliver an exceptional product, we chose to pursue this certification to provide testament to the quality and reliability of our products and our dedication to customer satisfaction,” Ken Hines, president and CEO of Lehman Trikes, said in the release.

Triumph unveils special edition Thruxton
Triumph Motorcycles is introducing a special edition to its café racer-styled Thruxton, announced the company. The 2010 Thruxton SE debuts a powder-coated red frame and crystal white bodywork with red stripe, color-matched fly screen and blacked out engine cases.
