Touring company marks 30th year
This winter Decker Sno-Venture Tours will enter its 30th year providing snowmobile tour packages around the world. The Eagle River, Wis.-based company, is said to be the oldest snow tour company in the business, according to a company press release.
Decker Sno-Venture Tours was started by Richard and Audrey Decker in 1980 with one route from Arbor Vitae, Wis., to Copper Harbor, Mich., and back.
By 1982, a trip to Togwotee Lodge in Jackson Hole, Wyo., was added as well as a Yellowstone package. From there the trip locations expanded and eventually the Deckers took people on week-long snowmobile vacations around the world.

Yamaha dealers to carry snobunje tools
Snobunje pulling tools are now available at Yamaha dealers in the United States and Canada thanks to an agreement between the companies, according to a press release.
Snobunje’s Rattler and Cobra extraction and pulling tools are now in the Yamaha accessory catalog.
The Rattler is a tool that uses strong stretch cords bundled in a corrugated vinyl tube. It has a hook on one end that attaches to the ski of the stuck sled and a handle on the other end. It maximizes the pulling forces the rider’s body can produce when pulling out a stuck snowmobile.
The Cobra uses the same maximum pulling force principle but hooks up sled-to-sled and has a hook on both ends.

OEM previews new snowmobile track system
Ultimate Sports (USI), a parts manufacturer and supplier, announced it has been testing and perfecting a new track assist unit for three years and has reached its goal.
The USI track assist system will fit all popular late-model snowmobiles produced by Arctic Cat, Polaris, Ski-Doo and Yamaha. Shipping of this new system is expected to begin in the spring of 2010. Sales of this new system will be through USI’s existing distributors, both domestically and internationally. Existing OEMs who currently purchase USI’s product line will be given an exclusive opportunity for pre-launch inspection.
