An effort to drum up late-season aftermarket sales has been started by members of the Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC).
The effort, called “Revive Your Ride,” includes free promotional material and expected participation by a number of aftermarket distributors and manufacturers, the latter of which could include special pricing programs.
The MIC announced the program — free for dealers — Wednesday at its daylong Symposium, held in Irvine, Calif.
The effort at jump-starting aftermarket sales is just beginning and further plans and participating companies will be announced shortly, MIC officials said.
The Revive Your Ride program will provide promotional materials for dealers that can be fine-tuned to fit the dealer’s specific market and will be able to be used in online or traditional media formats.
