Sept. 7, 2009 – In and out of the mud in 2010

Arctic Cat recently released its complete 2010 model lineup, with new additions to several areas of its lineup.
The following is a look at some of those new additions.

TBX 700 H1 4×4
This new addition is all about work, with a 1,050-pound towing capacity (with a standard 2-inch automotive-style rear receiver hitch), 100-pound front rack capacity, 12 inches of ground clearance and a standard 2,500-pound Warn winch. The rear dump box offers a 300-pound capacity and has a “pickup style” tailgate latch, plus box tilt latches on both sides of the machine. Handy tie-down attachment points are built into the cargo box and frame, and integrated rails accept accessory clampdown fixtures. The 695cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine includes electric fuel injection.
MSRP: $8,799

1000 H2 Mud Pro
Arctic Cat unveiled its first MudPro, featuring its unique snorkel system, last year with a
700 model. This year, it has added to that niche offering with a 951cc, four-stroke, four-valve,
V-twin offering. The new, larger-displacement machine’s chassis has been stretch eight inches compared to the 700. A 2,500-pound winch comes standard on this model.
MSRP: $12,999

650 H1 Mud Pro
The Mud Pro 650 shares the same chassis as its bigger 700 brother, while the stance and suspension have competition spring and shock valving. Preload changes were tailored specifically for the Mud Pro’s taller 28-inch Maxxis Zilla tires and 14-inch steel rims. The company says its Mud Pro snorkel system allows consumers to take the guess work out of designing their own system. The quad also features an industry-leading
14 inches of ground clearance.
MSRP: $8,599

Prowler 550 H1
This new side-by-side has a 545cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, which Arctic Cat says is designed for a wide torque curve with smooth power delivery via electronic fuel injection. The automatic transmission, the company says, provides “dynamic engine braking with low, high, neutral and reverse.” Other features include: 3-point seat belts; a composite cargo bed that can handle a 600-pound payload and has an easy-to-use dump box and tailgate; and a storage compartment that can hold
25 pounds of hunting supplies, tools and can double as a cooler.
MSRP: $10,999

450 H1 EFI,/b>
The new 450 H1 has a 443cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, designed for a wide torque curve with power delivery via electronic fuel injection. Arctic Cat built the quad with narrower bodywork and lowered it by more than an inch. Its ride-in suspension has a class-leading 11 inches of ground clearance and 10 inches of suspension travel, the company reported. It also has a new electronic switch that makes going in and out of four-wheel drive an easier process.
