Yamaha FX WaveRunner one of the most popular in PWC history

Yamaha Watercraft Group produced its 100,000th FX WaveRunner, making it one of the most popular models in the history of the PWC industry. The Yamaha FX Cruiser SHO is currently the best-selling luxury model this year and was the best-selling luxury model in 2008, according to a press release from Yamaha.

Yamaha’s FX WaveRunner was the first PWC to feature a four-stroke engine, and it has won more design and innovation awards than any other model in the industry, reports Yamaha.

Last year, the FX Cruiser SHO was the first PWC to feature hulls and decks engineered using nanotechnology, stated the release. For 2009, the Yamaha FX line includes four configurations, including the FX SHO, FX Cruiser SHO, FX HO and FX Cruiser HO. All four models feature Yamaha’s proprietary NanoXcel hulls and decks.

“Since its inception in 2003, the FX line has focused on exceeding customers’ expectations,” Bryan Seti, national marketing manager of Yamaha Watercraft Group, said in the release. “We do this by identifying the key attributes that customers tell us they want in their PWC, and then we innovate relentlessly to give them even more.”
