OEM sneak peek in progress

The four snowmobile manufacturers are working together this spring to show off the lineups you’ll see on the trails and mountains next winter.
The 2010 Manufacturers’ Sneak Peek is a six-week tour that Arctic Cat, Polaris, Ski-Doo and Yamaha are taking across the Snowbelt. New models include the agile Sno Pro 500, the 600 Rush, the GSX SE with the air-control rear suspension and lightened-up FX Nytro MTX mountain sleds.
The tour visits select cities in the West, Midwest, East and parts of Canada. For locations and dates, visit www.snowsneakpeek.com.

U.S.’ coldest year since 1977

The National Climate Data Center reported 2008 as the coldest year since 1977. The northern hemisphere snow cover extent in December was 16.95 million square miles. This was 0.17 million square miles above the 1966-2008 December average.
Ed Klim, president of the International Snowmobile Manufacturers Association, says he has received numerous reports of record snowfalls and record low temperatures across North America. psb
