SEMA trade show to include powersports for the first time

For the first time, the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show will have a designated section for powersports and utility vehicles. It will feature scooters, ATVs, motorcycles, pocket bikes, mini-bikes, golf carts, two- and three-wheel personal vehicles, accessories and services, according to the SEMA Web site.

Held at the Las Vegas Convention Center Nov. 3-6, the show will also offer educational seminars. Although the details need to be ironed out, Peter MacGillivray, vice president of events and communications for SEMA, told Powersports Business, “Without a doubt, there will be seminars for the powersports industry.”

Last year, the SEMA show attracted more than 50,000 domestic and international buyers through 2 million square feet of exhibits. The displays were segmented into 10 sections with a New Products Showcase featuring nearly 2,000 newly introduced parts, tools and components.
