Dealership University announces compliance class

Dealership University is introducing a dealership compliance class entitled “Privacy Acts and Red Flags.”

The one-week, instructor-led online training class is designed to educate dealers and their staff on the new Federal Trade Commission (FTC) requirements for dealership compliance, according to a company press release. Topics will include the FTC’s Privacy, Safeguards and Red Flags Rules.

“Until recently, many dealerships were unaware they were affected by these new federal requirements,” said Rod Stuckey, president of Dealership University, in the release. “We have designed our ‘Privacy Acts and Red Flags’ class to help dealers understand the rules and assist them with establishing and implementing reasonable policies and procedures to ensure their timely compliance without all of the hassles of creating the program from scratch. Best of all, since this is an online class, dealers can complete it without expensive travel or valuable time out of the dealership.”

Dealership University is currently taking enrollment for the new online classes in December and January. Tuition is free for Dealership University members and $379 for non-members. Each class is limited to 25 students. For more information visit www.dealershipu.com/safeguard.com or call 877/242-4472.
