Harley-Davidson’s U.S. retail sales fell 15.5 percent in its third quarter compared to the year-ago period.
The company did continue to see growth in its international markets although CEO Jim Ziemer said “unit sales in several European countries slowed more than we anticipated during September.”
Overall, Harley-Davidson reported a 7.7 percent dip in revenue and a 37.1 percent dip in net income compared to the year-ago period.
For the full year, Harley-Davidson has reduced its motorcycle shipment expectations to 303,500-306,000.
