ADP Lightspeed announced its new Parts and Major Unit Locator service, which is a searchable database for parts and major units. They’re supplied by dealers who use ADP Lightspeed as their DMS and subscribe to the service, stated an ADP Lightspeed press release.

This service is available on LightspeedNXT. It allows dealers to post their inventory into a nationwide pool of parts that can be viewed by other dealers. Searching the inventory is free, but there is a monthly charge to post inventory.

Dealers currently using NXT can use the new locater once they install SP 2. Laurn Rice, vice president of ADP Lightspeed, says the new locator aims to assist dealers’ success.

“ADP Lightspeed’s focus is to increase dealers’ profitability by proactively searching for answers to the industry’s toughest problems,” said Rice in the release. “The Parts and Major Unit Locator addresses one of the core concerns of doing business as a dealer: decreasing inventory expense, while not turning away sales.”
