May 12, 2008 – KYMCO unveils six scooters for 2008

GREENVILLE, S.C. — As part of its national dealer show April 28, KYMCO USA unveiled six new scooter models ranging from 50cc-500cc, including the introduction of a fuel-injected engine into its Xciting 500 and 250 lineup.
Other vehicles introduced include the Super 8 150, a sporty model with 14-inch wheels and a four-stroke SOHC engine and a fully analog instrumentation panel (also available in a 50cc version); the Sento 50, which is the U.S. version of KYMCO Taiwan’s popular Kiwi model, features traditional 10-inch wheels and a 49.5cc four-stroke SOHC engine; and the Sting 50, which is a traditionally styled scooter powered by an EPA-certified two-stroke engine. All models are backed by KYMCO’s two-year factory warranty.
Bruce Ramsey, director of sales for KYMCO USA, says the new additions to KYMCO’s two-wheeled lineup provide both quality and value in the same package.
“We’re very pleased to be able to offer our dealers and customers some great variation in our scooter lineup this year, combining both retro looks and modern styles with superior performance,” he said. “We also believe the price points will be a big draw for consumers as gas prices continue to squeeze consumers’ wallets.”
MSRPs for the new scooters are: Xciting 500 Ri $6,299/Xciting 500 Ri ABS $6,799; Xciting 250 Ri $5,199; Super 8 150 $2,299; Sento 50 $1,899; Sting 50 $2,099.
