Ducati signs deal with Precision Motor India
Ducati Motor Holding held is joining the Indian motorcycle market, the company said in a press release May 8.
Ducati has forged a long-term partnership agreement with Precision Motor India Private Limited as the exclusive importer of Ducati motorcycles in India. Precision Motor India is an established company that represents a number of luxury brands in India including Porsche, Audi, Fendi and Dolce & Gabbana.
Ducati and Precision Motor have crafted a marketing plan that calls for gradual penetration of the Indian market. During the next few months, the two companies will develop a detailed launch strategy for this demanding new market.
“We strongly believe that the Indian fast growing market is of a strategic importance,” said Ducati CEO Gabriele Del Torchio during a press conference announcing the partnership in India. “We’ll do our best to consolidate our presence and to capitalize on the opportunities this country can offer.”
