Fox Factory adds general counsel and chief patent counsel

Fox Factory announced David Haugen will be general counsel and chief patent counsel for the company, according to the Fox Factory press release.

Haugen was previously an attorney with a patent firm, Patterson & Sheridan. His practice included patent and trademark preparation, prosecution, litigation, licensing, opinions, portfolio management, copyrights, trade secrets and mergers and acquisitions and commercial transactions.

Bob Fox, president of Fox, says the company wanted someone with Haugen’s degree of experience.

“We are pleased to have recruited an in-house attorney of David’s caliber,” Fox said. “His experience and expertise, particularly in the fields of intellectual property and contract law, will ensure that all Fox inventions are protected at the highest level.”
