August 13, 2007 – Polaris unveils 2008 Ranger line
Polaris recently introduced its 2008 Ranger side-by-side lineup, which includes six new models.
Highlighting the new lineup are the Ranger RZR, the fastest accelerating and only trail capable side-by-side on the market; and the Ranger Crew, which is a multi-passenger utility vehicle powered by a Polaris 700 Twin EFI engine.
“With the hardest working, smoothest riding Ranger and the introduction of the Ranger Crew and Ranger RZR, we have the dominant work vehicle, play vehicle and multi-passenger utility vehicle (in the industry),” said Matt Homan, general manager of Polaris’ side-by-side division, in a news release.
Other additions to the Ranger lineup include the 2×4, 4×4 EFI, XP, and the 6×6. They feature dual bore piston brakes with 30 percent more braking force, dash-mounted parking brake, 40 percent brighter headlights and a 1-ton hauling capacity on the XP and 6×6 EFI models.
