RPM Group hosts multi-dealer meeting

DENVER—Twenty individuals representing 38 dealerships came together in Denver March 26-28 for a first-of-its-kind multi-dealership-owner meeting hosted by the Retail Powersports Management Group.

The meeting gave multiple dealership owners the opportunity to discuss an array of topics, including hiring and training high-level staff; ensuring healthy competition between stores; deciding which processes of their business should be centralized; and the benefits and drawbacks of hiring staff to exclusively handle areas such as pre-owned units, information technology, human resources and Internet sales.

RPM Group’s Sam Dantzler said the hope is the two-day meeting will be a launching point for similar roundtable discussions in the future.

“By all accounts this was a very productive two days,” Dantzler said. “Our hope is to be able to offer similar meetings in the future for multi-point dealers to get together to brainstorm ideas for problems that they all face on a daily basis.”
