Helmet House adds general counsel to staff
Helmet House, Inc., a distributor of helmets and riding gear, appointed Darci Teobaldi to the post of general counsel.
Teobaldi has an extensive background in legal affairs, having been senior counsel for a Fortune 500 scientific health-care corporation. She brings a range of experience in litigation, contract negotiation, intellectual property and mergers and acquisitions to Helmet House.
“She brings an outside perspective and extensive experience in a many areas of the law, exactly the type of general counsel Helmet House needs now and in the future,” Bob Miller, Helmet House’s president said in a news release.
Teobaldi’s legal experience spans almost 15 years and she holds a degree from Pepperdine University’s School of Law, where she also now serves as an adjunct professor.
Headquartered in Calabasas Hills, Calif., Helmet House was founded in 1969.
Spy Optic Taps Emler Jr. For New Motorsports Marketing Role
Donny Emler, Jr., a spokesman for FMF Racing, will begin also working for Spy Optic, a maker of sunglasses and goggles for the action sports market.
Emler will fill the newly created position of motorsports lifestyle marketing operative, the company announced. In this new role, Emler will focus on building strategic relationships with athlete, industry and entertainment partners, as well as exploring new business frontiers for the Spy Optic brand.
“Donny will be a great asset to Spy Optic,” Bob Ketchum, Spy Optic’s director of motorsports, said in a press release. “He has interacted with our brand for a long time and is a natural fit to come work with us officially.”
Emler said his duties at FMF have not changed.
“I will still be handling the marketing and advertising and overseeing their rider support department,” he said.
Spy is a wholly owned subsidiary of Orange 21, Inc.
Vehicle Identification Number Decoder Released
Consumer Research Solutions, Inc. (CRS), a powersports data provider, recently unveiled VIN Fact, a vehicle identification number decoder that provides motorcycle model descriptions.
Users enter a VIN and receive VIN validation and product information, including model identifiers, engine size, transmission type and market segment.
The service offers relates vehicle identification sequences to specific model information on motorcycles made between 2004 and the current model year.
“VIN Fact is a must-have for insurance agencies, auction groups and any organization that relies on accurate VIN lookups and product information for motorcycles in their day-to-day operations,” CRS President Steve Caisse said in a news release. “Until now, this required using two separate products and sources. CRS provides it in one, easy-to-use tool.” psb
