The new (but different) Redline – August 14, 2006

It has the same name and some of the same parts, but this is definitely not the original Redline Revolt snowmobile. Redline Holding LLC, based in West Fargo, N.D., hopes to have sellable units available by the end of the year. The Revolt uses a Weber 750cc, 80 hp four-stroke engine, the same used in some Polaris ATVs. It has a CVT transmission, a proprietary gear box and Fox air shocks. They didn’t use much snowmobile design in the new Revolt, but it does use some remaining Redline parts inventory, such as the brakes, the headlights and the gauges. The company introduced the machine to the public at the SoCal Dirt and Sand Expo in Ontario, Calif., on Aug. 5.
