KYMCO USA offers powersports dealers seven scooters for 2006. Units are powered by engines ranging from a 50cc four-stroke to the soon-to-be-released 500cc four-stroke. Check out the company’s new line-up of People S models. All 2006 KYMCO scooters are California-legal and offer a two-year warranty.

Genuine Scooter Co.
Chicago-based Genuine Scooter Co. offers a four-model scooter line-up for 2006. Joining the company’s well-received 150cc two-stroke, steel-body and manual shift Stella are a more modern 50cc two-stroke and 150cc four-stroke, both called the Buddy, as well as a sporty 50cc two-stroke named Black Cat. All four are expected to be 50-state legal for 2006, and Genuine says dealers will make 30 percent-plus margins. MSRP is anticipated to be approximately $2,099 for the Black Cat, $1,899 for the Buddy 50, and $2,499 for the Buddy 150.

E-Ton America
E-Ton has two new 49cc scooters for 2006, the E-Ton Beamer II and Matrix.
Both scooters feature two-stroke, air-cooled, oil-injected, single-cylinder engines; Telescoping forks; 155mm front disc brake and drum rear; hold 1.4 gallons of fuel; and weigh 180 lbs. The E-Ton Beamer II features under-seat storage, pillion seat with passenger pegs, rear rack and locking gas cap. Available in black, red, yellow, it is retail priced at $1,599. The Matrix features a luggage box, Pro-Flow exhaust, two-tone seat and black powder-coated wheels and forks. Available in black, red, yellow, it is retail priced at $1,799. Both scooters come with a six-month warranty. A&R Trading Company also serves as a source for performance parts and accessories for scooters.

Vento
Vento’s GT5 scooter lineup is new for 2006. With a race-inspired design, the GT5 series comes with carbon fiber-look panels, a black body, five-spoke rims, aluminum foot boards, digital gauges, chrome exhaust and an alarm. Vento offers dealer floor plan financing, dealer support and an online parts ordering system with live support.

Daelim Motor USA
Daelim said it plans to offer a line of six scooters in 2006: a two-stroke 50cc unit, a two-stroke 100cc, three four-stroke 125cc models, and one four-stroke 250cc. Daelim products are manufactured in Korea and have a two-year warranty.

Adly
Adly Moto says it plans to shift much of its sales and marketing efforts toward the scooter market in 2006. Expected to be added to the company’s line-up of 49cc machines is a 150cc Noble. All Adly scooters come with a two-year parts and labor warranty.

Manco Powersports
Manco Powersports plans to carry two new scooter models in 2006, the Phoenix and Matrex. Both feature four-stroke 50cc engines and are expected to be priced from $999 to $1099.

New to the market, Schwinn Motor Scooters is currently expanding its sales and technical departments, and recently partnered with ARI/PartSmart to provide Schwinn dealers with increased customer service.

United Motors of America
United Motors of America says it designs, engineers and manufactures motorcycles, scooters and ATVs. Company officials say they serve a network of 400 dealers from their headquarters in Miami as well as from three warehouses.

Midwest Motor Vehicle
Midwest has a 150cc four-stroke scooter for 2006. The unit, priced for dealers at $1,095, features 13-inch tires, alloy rims, front disc brake and alarm. Midwest said it will reach a top speed of 65 mph and comes with a three-year limited warranty.

LS Motorsports, Sugarland, Texas, offers four models of Diamo brand scooter: the 2006 Diamo Fury 150cc (MSRP $2,495), Velux 150cc Convertible ($3,995), Tracer 150cc ($2,395) and Diamo Retro 150cc ($2,195).

Cobra Powersports
Founded as Cobra Scooter, LLC in 2002, Cobra Powersports is a distributor of TGB and Peirspeed scooters as well as SGMW mini vehicles. Tank Sports carries more than 25 models of motorcycles, scooters, ATVs, dirt bikes and go-karts. Tank says all of its product is street-legal, EPA and CARB approved. Tank’s newest model is the 2006 Sporty 150 DE.
