Feb. 13, 2006 – Kawasaki expands sales force

Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. has announced the first expansion of its field sales districts in more than 20 years.
Two new districts, both in the company’s South region, became effective this month.
Tony Murr, vice president sales, said the broadening of the company’s field sales operations provide added support to the brand’s powersports retailers and enhance the overall business environment for the dealer network.
“We are intent on continuing to foster the best possible relationship between our dealers and the company, and by adding sales areas we’re able to assign fewer dealerships to each of our district managers, allowing each of them to spend more time interacting with our first-line customers,” said Murr.
Murr said the two new dealer representative positions are expected to be filled by early February.
“We see a tremendous amount of growth potential in the coming years, and we know that making commitments now will put us in a good position to take advantage of future opportunities,” said Murr.
He said the current move is prompted by the company’s ongoing interest in improving field relationships and its view of the powersports industry over the next several years.
Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. markets and sells at wholesale Kawasaki motorcycles, ATVs, personal watercraft and utility vehicles through a network of more than 1,500 independent retailers. psb
