Suzuki Recalls Eiger and Vinson ATVs

American Suzuki Motor Corp. (ASMC) has announced a recall involving approximately 27,000 units of its 2004-2005 Eiger and Vinson ATVs sold from August 2, 2003 to August 26, 2004.
The recalled ATVs were assembled in Rome, Ga. with an incorrectly sized mounting bolt under the fuel tank. This could result in fuel leakage presenting a fire safety hazard and risk of injury or death.
ASMC has not received any reports of incidents.
Models in question are the 2004 and 2005 Eiger ATVs (LT-A400K4, LT- A400FK4, LT-F400K4, LT-F400FK4, LT-A500FK5, LT-F500FK5) and Vinson ATVs (KT-A500FK4 and LT-F500FK4).
Consumers are asked to take their ATV to an authorized Suzuki dealership for a no-charge replacement of the fuel petcock-mounting bolt and sealing washers.
Call ASMC for more information, 800/444-5077.
