Off-Roaders Set Bush Campaign Voter Coalition
A statewide coalition of off-road riders has been formed in California to work for the re-election of President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney.
The coalition, named the Off-Roader Coalition, joins several other coalitions consisting of members of special interest groups. The coalition is composed of volunteers dedicated to protecting the future of off-highway vehicle (OHV) recreation. Named as chairman of the new coalition is Jim McGarvie, long-time off-roader and OHV activist.
“We have long felt that if we could just get the majority of off-roaders to vote, we could have a powerful impact upon the outcome of important elections,” said McGarvie. “This is our opportunity to do just that.”
The same statewide organization will also be used to help the campaign of Bill Jones for U.S. Senate from California, and is an official Jones coalition.
