Honda Scooters Go Hybrid

Honda Motor Co. extended its “clean” technology into two-wheelers, and offered the world a glimpse of two cycles it has designed to run via fuel cell and gasoline-electric powerplants.
One scooter revealed at the company’s research center in Japan by Honda President Takeo Fukui operated on a fuel-cell power plant the size of a normal 125cc gasoline engine. A 50cc scooter model with as a so-called gas-electric hybrid engine also was shown.
Tokyo-based Honda sold 9.2 million gasoline-powered motorcycles and scooters in its latest fiscal year. The company declined to say when the fuel-cell or hybrid scooters would go on sale.
