Sportech moves
Sportech, Inc., the manufacturer of Cobra snowmobile and ATV windshields, Holeshot snowmobile skid plates and Chrome Series Windscreens for sport bikes, says it recently received ISO 9001:2000 certification, just months after moving into a new 20,000 sq. ft. facility in Elk River, Minn.
Spokesman Greg Anderson says the new facility will allow Sportech to double its manufacturing capacity, offering the firm the ability to expand internal manufacturing capabilities in several key areas.
ISO 9001:2000 is an internationally recognized, procedure-based Quality Management System (QMS) standard developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) as a means of enabling organizations to more directly link business objectives with business effectiveness. Sportech says pursuing ISO certification was a logical step to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of its processes.
