MZ 1000S available in spring

Florida-based Motorrad of North America, importer of MZ branded vehicles, appeared at the Dealer Expo in Indianapolis with the brand’s long-awaited liter bike, the MZ 1000S.
Weighing in at 462 lbs., the fuel-injected 998cc machine is powered by a liquid-cooled DOHC eight-valve four-stroke delivering 112hp through a six-speed cassette-type transmission.
“Motorrad of North America was very excited to showcase our 1000S and had tremendous response,” said Ray Campanile, Motorrad president. Campanile, joined in Indy by Petr Korous, director of MZ Engineering, told Powersports Business that he expects the bike, available in silver or black, to be shipped to dealers in late April or early May.
