Riva expands racer support

Riva Racing recently unveiled plans to expand its racer support program to include both Sea-Doo and Honda competitors. Riva’s grass-roots program, started in 2001, offers benefits to so-called “privateers” in the Novice, Expert, and Pro ranks, including access to pro-spec engines and fully prepped race boats at substantially reduced prices. “Our goal is to provide watercraft racers with cutting edge technology at a reduced cost so we can keep good racers involved and strengthen our sport,” explained Riva Racing’s owner David Bamdas. “RIVA Racing is looking forward to backing a large team of watercraft racers. We’re excited about releasing pro-level technology to our support team.”
Polaris Offers Two Tickets To Paradise
What could be better than winning a Polaris MSX 150? How about winning one, then having someone hand you two tickets to Hawaii to go along with it. The Polaris in Paradise sweepstakes will reward one lucky winner with just that, as well as a week’s accommodations at a five-star hotel, a convertible to use during your stay, “high-energy” activities including a Hummer safari, snorkeling, sport fishing, and helicopter sightseeing, and $1000 in spending money. Sorry dealers, you’re not eligible. Polaris dealers, however, certainly have a new way to get foot traffic. Consumers can sign up at local dealerships, online or by mail, or by visiting a local boat show.
Rius A Star At Dubai Boat Show
Obviously a famous PWC racer can still sell tickets to a boat show. Nicolas Rius attended the Dubai International Boat Show as a brand ambassador for JET KID, one of the show exhibitors.
Roosevelt Open For Comment
Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area may be the next national park to once again allow personal watercraft to access its waters. The park recently released its proposed ruling on PWC access, which called for a return to park waters with only minimal restrictions, most notably an increase in the no-wake zone around developed areas to 200 feet and the restriction on PWC from entering Kettle River northwest of Kettle Falls.
The open comment period began February 6th; interested parties were given 60 days to comment on the proposed legislation. The regulations can be seen at www.nps.gov/laro/home.htm. psb
