Details set For 2003 Jamboree

The American Watercraft Association and PM Sports Marketing have announced details on the 2003 AWA National PWC Jamboree. A three-day event targeting the recreational and family lifestyle consumer, the Jamboree will be held May 16-18 at a new site in Nashville Shores, Tenn.
“The AWA is very excited to see this great event continue to grow,” said Mark Denny, AWA managing director. “As a volunteer-run event in 2002, the Jam broke records for attendance and really outgrew its location. Now, there is a professional promoter in place that can take the event to a new level in a location that is ideal for the activities that are planned. Nashville Shores is a great, centrally-located place that is well-suited to host an event of this magnitude.”
The site will be familiar to those who attended last year’s Waterfest. The 14,000-acre J. Percy Priest Lake was the home to a week’s worth of Waterfest activities.
Last year’s event attracted over 350 participants from 27 different states and Canada. This year’s event is aiming at two records in the Guinness World Record book: “Largest parade of PWC” and “Largest PWC Poker Run.”
