PSB reveals five more Nifty 50 winners

Five new products and services picked by Affinity Media’s editors, including those from Powersports Business, can be seen online at PowersportsBusiness.com.
The first 25 products were revealed in the Jan. 27 Powersports Business issue. The remaining 25 products will be in the Feb. 9 issue with full descriptions and pictures of each product.
For the 10th consecutive year, Affinity Media’s editors have selected the 50 products and services. All entrants for the annual Nifty 50 contest are judged on potential marketability and dealer profitability.
To be eligible, the products must be displayed at the Indianapolis Dealer Expo in February and be ready for delivery in the 2009 calendar year.
Here are the latest announced Nifty 50 winners:
Sure Grip Sportbike Tank Bra
Company: American Suzuki Motor Corp.
Carbon-look vinyl cover features panels of track-tested, high-traction material on sides. The soft backing helps protect the finish on the gas tank. It’s removable and washable and features an embossed logo on top. It’s available for 2009 the Suzuki GSX-R 1000 and 2008-009 Suzuki GSX-R 750/600.
RoadTech B1 Tool Kit
Company: CruzTOOLS
BMW, according to CruzTOOLS, has virtually eliminated tool kits from its new bikes and has increased its use of exotic fasteners. CruzTOOLS has addressed these needs with the RoadTech B1, which provides tools for all BMW models, including the popular GS family.
Three-year unbreakable warranty
Company: National Cycle
National Cycle is offering a 3-year warranty against breakage to the original owner of the company’s polycarbonate windshield. The company believes this will be crucial for consumers who are seeking value in their purchases.
Street Clutch Kit
Company: DP Brakes
This new kit includes steels for high-performance street bikes. DP Brakes said it will be the only aftermarket manufacturer providing friction, steel and springs for a number of sport bike brands, including Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha and Ducati.
Notako Rims
Company: RK Excel America
Excel’s new Notako rims offer an alternative to the company’s premium Takasago rims. These new rims feature a more economical aluminum alloy that makes it more affordable for nonracing enthusiasts. Rims are available in black or silver and can be laced to stock hubs and certain aftermarket hubs.
